A lovely blanket perfect for that new arrival as a gift or for your own baby.
This meadow green coloured crochet baby blanket is an amalgamation of two different crochet patterns; Diamond Flower Baby Blanket by Lucy Lyons and Call the Midwife Inspired Baby Blanket by Little Monkeys Crochet. I took the elements of both designs that I liked the most and put them together with a little bit of Happy Hook magic!
The design creates a series of edged squares with a stylised flower worked into each. This blanket was worked as one piece so there is no seaming within it. The finished blanket is a lovely size (69 cm square) for a new born or use in a pram. It is a solid enough design that it could even make a nice playing mat. These ideas are merely suggestions!
The yarn and finished item is suitable for machine washing. This is great for baby blankets as they do need regular washing! You will just need to gently reshape whilst damp.
