Full description
This spinning ring makes a perfect gift for compulsive twiddlers! It keeps fingers busy, relieves stress and passes idle moments. The two rings are both made of sterling silver. The inner one is 1mm thick and 10mm wide. I have forged it with a ball-pein hammmer and tumble-polished it so that it catches the light from many angles. It has been formed into a curved anticlastic shape which holds the outer ring securely while allowing it to spin. To make the spinner, I twisted two lengths of silver wire together and then passed them through a rolling mill to create a flat twist. The resulting ring was then oxidised to darken it to a pewter colour and create contrast. This dark patina may lighten with wear or if treated with silver polish.
The ring is currently available in UK size O. I will send it by Royal Mail first class post, packaged in a smart gift box.
