This delightful scarf has been nuno felted using soft merino wool on a cotton cheesecloth base.
A blend of purple shades of merino wool and some bleached tussah silk fibres have been nuno felted onto a hand dyed purple cheesecloth base. The nuno felting process allows the wool fibres to migrate through the cotton and bind with it. The wool has been applied in a very fine layer allowing the structure and texture of the cotton cheesecloth to show through in places adding to the beauty of the scarf. This scarf has been felted on both sides and floral decoration using merino wool has been added to opposite corners with the remaining corners left plain. The scarf is approximately square (66 cm x 70cm, 26" x 27.5") and can be worn in many ways. It can be folded to display the floral pattern either at the front or the back of the wearer. This scarf is amazingly soft and feather light.
Made from all natural materials this scarf can be warm in winter yet cool in summer making it an all year round accessory. Ideal paired up with either a smart or casual outfit.

Washing Instructions: handwash in warm water, do not wring, roll in towel to remove excess water, reshape while wet, iron on cool (wool) setting. Don not machine wash or tumble dry.
