Ladybird books and listening to stories was a huge part of my childhood. The Little Red Hen (with the Rat, the Pig and the Cat) is a wonderful 'once upon a time' story with fabulous illustrations. This bunting gives new life to an old and abandoned book.
As I only use old and damaged books to make my bunting there are at times added marks and drawing on the pages.

The Little Red Hen - what a brilliant book! ("Not I!" said the rat).
I have made this vintage Ladybird book story into a length of paper bunting. Every page has been used - with the images on the front of the bunting and words on the back. There are 24 triangular flags measuring 10cm x 17cm hung 2cm apart. The length of the bunting is 380cm which includes 30cm each end for tying. Each flag has machine stitching along the edges and the binding is bright yellow with yellow top stitching.
Although the stitching gives extra strength to the paper, this bunting is obviously intended for inside display and is not designed for wet weather!
A perfect gift for a vintage inspired nursery or playroom.
