I am a nature lover and a keen garden bird watcher. I have been inspired by the feathered visitors to my garden to make a series of bird portraits.
I love the song of this beautiful graceful bird, a joyful and optimistic call.

Full description
An original piece of textile art mounted on board and presented in a white box frame in order to protect and preserve the work.
I created this picture using specially selected fabrics, appliquéd onto a cotton ground.
I added detail with free machine embroidery and hand stitching.
The art work itself measures approximately 20 x 20 x 1 cm and is secured within a frame measuring 25 x 25 x 4.5 cm
