I love crazy patchwork as you never quite know how the finished item will look. It also uses up all those lovely leftover fabrics from previous projects. I wanted to use some of my own handmade Bedfordshire bobbin lace and this tiny leftover piece seemed just the right piece to incorporate into this pin cushion. I also love all types of embroidery and could not resist but add a few stitches as decoration.

Full description
A pretty pin cushion created in crazy patchwork. I have added some rustic crewel embroidery in yellow embroidery floss and a piece of yellow cotton Bedfordshire Bobbin Lace which was created on my lace pillow. There is a mixed variety of cotton and polyester-cotton fabrics used to create this pin cushion. The patterns of the fabrics used are a variety of floral, checks, stripes and plain colour blocks.
The reverse side of the Pin Cushion features a small piece of maroon nylon lace overlaying a piece of plain blue cotton fabric and continues the crazy patchwork theme.
The pin cushion has been tightly packed with polyester anti-allergy hollow fibre. This filling also complies with the Furniture and furnishing (fire Safety) regulations 1988.
