Full description
This is a beautiful sewing needle case which I've made using the pure new wool rescued from a skirt that had never been worn (and was never likely to be!). This is the latest of several items which I've made from the same skirt - the power of recycling!
On the front I've hand embroidered some lovely cow parsley (or 'Queen Anne's Lace, if you prefer) and I've teamed the lovely grey of the wool with a very pretty green and white floral print cotton lining. A layer of wadding gives a slightly padded feel. There are 4 leaves of 100% wool felt inside the case for the storage of needles and pins. Two are white and 2 are green. The case is secured with a velcro fastening to the reverse.
When closed the case measures approximately 5.25 inches by 4 inches (13.5 cm by 10 cm).
A lovely way to store your sewing needles, it would also make a lovely gift.
