A summer bag for a summer's day; a wedding, a party, a holiday, a gift.
Beautiful natural cream/ivory cotton yarn shoulder bag with ditsy floral cotton strap, pockets and lining and applique heart design on the flap. A second superimposed heart is in a contrast fabric and adorned with a mother of pearl heart button. The inner pocket, complete with my frankly frances label, is made from the contrast fabric. On the front is a large fabric pocket. A magnetic catch closure completes the bag.
Both fabrics have a cream background and a small pink pastel floral design.
Bag size 8" wide and 81/2" high. Strap 1" wide and 43" long

I found the yarn in a sale bin. It was soft and natural and strong all at the same time. So tactile. I just had to have it. I knew just what to make. The fabrics came from my stash. Both given to me by friends. The design includes my familiar heart motif. This lovely bag has a nod to vintage along with a practical design and makes me smile. I know the wearer will feel the same.
