High quality hand bound journal, made by using traditional bookbinding methods.
The handmade bookcloth that surrounds the covers features a lovely blue rose floral design.
There is a mixture of paper; the outer pages of each section are brown kraft paper the inner white recycled cartridge paper.
Each page of kraft paper & plain recycled cartridge paper within the journal has been hand cut with a paper knife to reveal a finely torn edge.
The hand sewn spine has been sewn with a mixture of traditional stitches, long stitch and french link stitch.
For hundreds of years these types of stitches have been used. Secretly hidden beneath the covering of the spine. I've left the spine exposed to reveal the beauty of the stitches & to get a glimpse of the construction of the book.
The journal is finished with a length of double satin ribbon to wrap around and keep it firmly closed.
There are 144 pages in total (both sides)
