I painted a lovely jug with sunshine hare and ran a competition on my Facebook page…what was his name and what is his favourite pastime….A lovely lady won it with this:
"Clearly this is the hare that collects moonbeams and twinkle lights, gives them a good stir with night time breezes, adds a trickle of honeysuckle and jasmine and turns them into dreams. Full description
This is a hand cast high fired earthenware mug, hand painted with a sunshine hare in vibrant yellows, sunny tones with a hint of eternal optimism…OK …painted individually with food safe underglaze colours and glazed with lead free glaze in my studio in South Norfolk.
His ears flop up and over the top of the mug and the tips of his ears are fire red. I put a little red heart on the handle of all of my work and back stamp and sign each piece. This is entitled sunshine hare and has an artist info and care tag attached to the handle with jute string.
This mug holds 3/4 pint, and is our favourite shape at home, dishwasher safe.
All my designs are painted individually, I do not use stencils or stickers so the colour hues will vary slightly. I package using recycled materials and send out via Royal Mail first class recorded delivery.
