Red Green Poppy Scarf Shawl Wrap Gifts for Women Silk and Wool Felted Nuno Nature Handmade Felt Women's Gift
A beautiful white silk scarf/shawl acts as a background for a Japanese technique called Nuno felting. Soft merino wool is added to the silk by a system of wetting and rolling. The fibres find their way through the silk and become felted to it. Depending on the weight and depth of the wool added the silk then becomes scrunched up in random areas creating a unique piece that no one else will be wearing!
Large enough to be worn as a shawl over an evening dress and light enough to scrunch into a comforting scarf. Dimensions are: 148 cm x 30 cm
(58 inches x 12 inches approximately)
This measurement is without including the tassels which are on average about 12 cm either end (5 inches)
Care: Handwash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Rinse well and dry flat. If required, iron on a cool setting.
Each one is made to order so please allow up to a week for its production. Each piece is slightly different and will vary slightly in pattern and exact measurement from the one shown.
