Loved the idea of incorporating a 'jewel' into a glass jigsaw. When I make some of my suncatchers it is just like putting a jigsaw together.

Full description

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

An abstract design which I call jigsaw as that is what it looks like to me and describes how I have to fit the pieces together.

It is a jigsaw made from 16 pieces of individually shaped glass in gorgeous shades spring. I've used the spring greens round the outside, 4 differemt shades and textures. Inside are the blues, purples and yellows of crocus, daffodil and primula..

In the centre there is a large jewel, a mutli faceted crystal which gives the suncatcher a wonderful sparkling focal point.

This is 12.5 cm square and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely soldered to the top corners of the suncatcher.

I've framed it with twisted wire for strength and neatness.

This suncatcher would make a lovely present . It is totally individual as is everything I make. I never make two pieces exactly the same, even from the same design as I use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.

I have included 4 photos of the suncatcher to try to show you the different colours and the textures of the glass in different lights.

The 5th photo shows a previous version in purples and blues which is now sold.
