Full description
A unique patchwork quilt designed and made by myself on my home sewing machine. The patchwork design includes a multitude of traditional blocks including sawtooth stars, flying geese, diamond panes and calico puzzle in a variety of sizes. The backing, like all the patchwork fabrics, is 100% cotton. The quilt contains Hobbs 80/20 wadding which is warm and machine washable.
The quilting is a spiral pattern swirling evenly outwards from a central circle and is stitched in a variegated thread that contains many of the colours found in the quilt top. Measuring 56" x 69" (143cm x 174cm) this quilt could be used as a cosy sofa throw or be draped across a single bed. In keeping with tradition I have sewn a label to the back giving details of who made the quilt, when and where.
