Heraldic Artist and Calligrapher in Glasgow.
I design and handpaint paint single or double initial letters in colour (or in 23c gold leaf or Palladium leaf for silver) for handmade Birthday or Wedding Anniversary gifts.
As well as handpainted letters, I also have fantasy animal cards, calligraphy placemats and a selection of calligraphy giclée art prints of sayings and quotes including a selection from JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings..

Printed from my original painting - thought I'd have a set of funny manuscript bird cards along with my heraldic animal ones and I had to include an Owl. He was inspired by a search through manuscripts for birds of not the usual colours and I do like his puffed blue chest feathers.
He is a bit grumpy though!

Owl birthday card, printed from my original painting with a good quality white envelope and cellophane sleeve.
Owls represent Wisdom, learning and knowledge so this would be an ideal card for any cleverclogs you might know. In Harry Potter owls bring the post - wouldn't that be brilliant!
