When I first stacked these coloured pearls together, the natural variations in colour, their glossy sheen and their flat button shape reminded me of the fancy varieties of maize that can be seen piled together in the markets of Peru and Bolivia in the Andes mountains. I named them Zea, the Latin name of the maize plant.

Full description
In my Zea design I have stacked four freshwater pearls on top of one another in an unusual asymmetrical style. These pearls have a wonderful lustre and are nude-pink and peacock grey in colour. This hand-crafted design follows the trend for combining different coloured pearls together for a modern twist on vintage style. These delicate hand-made earrings measure 34 mm 1 3/8" in length including the ear-wires and the natural shades are sure to compliment any outfit. I hand-made ear-wires and headpins for the drops from sterling silver in my West Sussex workshop in order to set these classic pearls off.
Your hand-crafted earrings come carefully packaged in a gift box.
