Full description
This dainty and very feminine freshwater pearl necklace is creamy white in colour, making it a simple yet stunning accessory for a special occasion. The pearls are 6 to 7mm long. Some are elliptical in shape and others a little more pointed at one end than the other. They have a good smooth surface and nice sheen. They are strung in the traditional way with a tiny knot between each pearl. However I have used nylon instead of the more usual silk as it is stronger and a little less inclined to stretch. The necklace is finished with a silver-plated trigger clasp and an extension chain with a wire wrapped matching pearl droplet at the end. This adds a pretty extra detail at the back if the wearer has short hair or is wearing their hair up.
The necklace is 45cms (17.7ins) long; 51cms (20ins) when the extension chain is used to its fullest extent.
The necklace will be sent wrapped in acid-free tissue paper in a pillow gift box.
