I love using this combination of wool felt and soft suede, to make great journals. The materials go together so well and the result is always lovely.
I wanted to make a journal, which would appeal to most men and also to women - something simple and smart, understated, not garish, but also not dull. I think I've achieved my aim and I think this journal would make a great gift for someone you love!

Full description
A smart little journal in grey wool felt, with a soft suede lining. Ideal gift for a man or teenager, great for note-keeping, planning, sketching.
The wrap-round cover is a marled-finish blue-grey felt, lined in light blue, soft suede leather.
It is fastened with a silver-coloured button and petrol blue suede strip, which wraps round the button on the front of the cover. A small blue button on the inside of the cover, prevents the fastening button from pulling away and damaging the book.
The pages are hand bound with navy blue linen thread, in a variation of traditional longstitch. The stitches have an interesting crossed design, made by slipping the needle beneath the previous thread on each stitch.
The book contains 80 pages (160 sides) of good quality, mid-weight white paper, with a laid finish, which is hand cut and stitched in six sets.
Measurements: 14.5cm / 5.75ins approx, X 11.5cm / 4.5ins. Pages are 14cm / 5.5ins X 10.25cm/4ins.

The book can be gift-wrapped in Valentine design tissue paper, if you wish. Please leave a note at checkout, if you would like this special wrapping. Otherwise, the book will be wrapped in plain white tissue, with a ribbon.
