I made this gorgeous lampshade to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland novel by Lewis Carroll! I love the books with the original Sir John Tenniel illustrations and wanted to re-create that magical world.
A diffuser can be used in a ceiling-hung shade to prevent glare from the bulb (available to buy separately).
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Full description
This adorable Alice in Wonderland lampshade features illustrations by Sir John Tenniel (as used in the original Lewis Carroll books). I use my own digitally printed fabric which has a white background & black drawings.
If you would like a small free sample of fabric to colour match, please contact me.
IMPORTANT STUFF (sorry there's lots!)
- Every lampshade is handmade to order and usually takes around 1 week to ship. Please let me know if you need it more urgently than this when ordering
- Dimensions: 20cm diameter x 18cm high (also available in 30cm diameter). This listing is for the shade only
- Your lampshade can be used in Europe and the UK (includes converter plug). If you are in the US I can make the shade with a spider fitting - please mention this when ordering
- Please let me know if you would like the shade for a table or ceiling fitting when ordering
- The lampshade is backed with flame retardant PVC which has passed the glow wire test carried out by the Lighting Association
- As every shade is unique, pattern placement may vary slightly from the photo. It is not always possible to match the pattern at the back seam due to the varying designs of fabric used
- I recommend the use of low energy bulbs with your lampshades. They use less energy and are cool to the touch, avoiding the problem of scorching shades and ceilings
