PART SHELL, PART AMPHORA, THE MAIN BODY OF THIS UNUSUAL PIECE IS TURNED FROM SPALTED SYCAMORE IT'S 9'' LONG AND 6 1/2'' AT THE WIDEST POINT. BEING COMPLETELY HOLLOW IS REALLY A HOLLOW FORM AND INTENDED AS A SCULPTURE, IT COULD ALSO BE USED FOR STORAGE. THE PIECE WAS MOUNTED ON A SLICE OF OAK BURR, ABOUT 8'' BY 14'', THIS HAS IT'S OWN RUGGED BEAUTY , ALL FINISHED WITH DANISH OIL.
