These non-fiction titles from the Britain In Pictures series of books have a lovely design element which make attractive decorative objects. This earlier volume has an attractive patterned cover rather than the more common pictorial images and is perfect for someone wo enjoys travel and appreciates design.

Full description

This book clock is made by repurposing a hardback copy of India originally published in 1941.

The book measures approximately 16.5cm x 22.5cm. It is designed to be hung on a wall but can also be stood on a shelf or table using the stand supplied with it.

The clock has a quartz movement which is operated using a standard AA 1.5V battery (sorry this is not supplied as Royal Mail prohibit batteries to be posted outside their packaging and I cannot find a packaged single AA battery).

The clock and stand are supplied packaged in a box making it suitable to give as a gift.

This is an upcycled item so the book will not be in pristine condition. Signs of wear to the covers are an indication of the journey the book has been on with previous owners.

Handcrafted items from The Forgotten Library seek to create new treasures from abandoned vintage books, magazines and other paper or library themed ephemera. Every piece is unique.

The picture of the box, insert and stand is a standard stock photograph as the same style of box is used for each clock. If you are looking closely at the image you may notice the book title is different, don't worry your clock will be correctly boxed and labeled.
