I saw this little chest of drawers sitting at my local recycling centre. It was battered and bruised and covered in a thick, black gloss paint (the type you use for skirting boards) but I loved its simple shape, lightweight feel and two drawer design so I took it home.
Many hours of sanding gloss off later I was beginning to see the beautiful piece it was to become. But, I couldn't decide on a colour. I went through the colours of the rainbow for a week until my Husband laiughingly suggested lime was the only colour I hadn't mentioned. LIME! That was it. As I couldn't find the shade I wanted I mixed white chalk paint with a few shades of acrylic to create the perfect colour (that my Husband has declared is possibly yellow!) So, make up your own mind on this piece but please be gentle, it is my favourite!

I didn't quite know whether to describe this as lemon or lime as it seems to change colour depending on the light - as shown in photo. I had mixed the paint myself on this one and was pleased with the lovely lime piece I had created. My husband came home and said "I love that lemon chest of drawers, so unique" So, there you have it, a subjective piece! If you are interested in this but colour is very important I am able to post a sample of the paint (painted on card) that I used so you can make up your own mind!
I love the how versatile this piece is, it would be ideal in a bedroom as a dressing table/chest of drawers but would work equally well in a hallway/living room/bathroom or even kitchen. It is beautiful. I hope you like it as much as I do.
