A few years ago I started sewing again after many years which progressed to trying some patchwork quilting which I discovered I loved doing and having made a cot quilt for my new grandson and a lap quilt for my elderly mother I thought I’d have a go at some other smaller projects and started experimenting with zipped bags, tote bags and small fabric storage baskets with a modern touch.

Full description
This beautiful handmade quilted and lined shoulder bag is made from 100% cotton materials. The gorgeous outer fabrics used for the patchwork are from La Belle Fleur by French General for Moda in shades of soft creams with accents of deep pinks, taupe and green. The lining is good quality cream calico with the internal pockets and straps made from a pretty complimenting fabric. The wadding/batting is also 100% cotton. There is a magnetic fastener to keep the bag closed.
The bag measures 11.5" wide x 10.75" deep with boxed corners at the bottom so the bag stands up on it's own.
There are 6 internal pockets in all - 3 on either side - so plenty of room for all your bits and pieces ie mobile phone, keys, tissues etc etc. As well as a great handbag this bag would equally make an excellent knitting/crafting bag.
Machine washable at 40 degrees or less.
