I made these rabbits in memory of my very beloved house rabbit, Alfie. Although much cherished, Alfie was quite a troublesome pet whereas this version is much lower-maintenance!
I wanted to make a creature that could encourage imaginative and creative play, so rather than be tempted to make various accessories, I decided to invite a young owner to do this themselves.
Of course, he would also make a lovely keepsake for any rabbit fan!

If you’re being nagged for a pet, this little chap needs a good home!
He is hand-crocheted in a wool-rich, self-patterning yarn and stuffed with a polyester filling. He has glass beads for eyes and a pop-pom tail. He measures about 3.5 cm from the top of his back to his paws and is approximately 7 cm long, nose to tail. He comes with a gold card pet carrier, shredded purple paper ‘straw’ and a tag. The tag gives the recipient brief instructions for the rabbit’s care. (I am happy to substitute this for a blank tag if the owner is to be an older person – just let me know!) I will post the box flat for you to assemble, as it makes a considerable difference to the amount I need to charge for postage.
