Full description

Pyrite Ammonite Fossil Keyring or handbag charm with Gold Tone findings.

These fossil Ammonites have over a period of millions of years become Pyrite, so a metal like structure, which makes these little fossils very tough and strong and unusually weighty for their size and is very dark grey, almost black in colour, with great definition.

These lovely little Pyrite Fossil Ammonites were located with a natural round perforation in the centre, making them ideal for mounting onto a triangle bail and teamed up with Gold Tone curb style keychain and split ring, to make the items useable as a Keyring or handbag charm.

Lyme Regis, in Dorset, where these fossils were located, is known as the Jurassic coast and is wonderfully rich and abundant in these wonderful Ammonite fossils.

Approximate measurements: The whole keyring, including the ammonite, chain and split ring measures approx 6.5cms to 7mms in length. The little ammonites approx 2.5cms by 2cms by 7mms. As each ammonite is unique, there will be differences in colour, size and definition from the item photographed, which will be a representative of a final item only! To avoid any disappointment.

As this is a natural pyrite fossil, it is robust but not unbreakable!
