Handmade Felt Red Poppy Brooch with Beaded Centre Gift for Women
Made from soft merino wool this handmade felt brooch/ pin adds a beautiful touch to any outfit. It has a simple and secure fastening on the back and securely glued black sequins complete the focal point. Beautiful silk sari fabric has been added in during the felting process and has become part of the fabric.
All the felt at Penny Jane Designs is laid from wool fibres, hand rolled and then decorated. The standard therefore is much higher and more interesting than factory made felt.
Size is approximately 8 cm in diameter. Your actual poppy may vary slightly from the picture.
Thank you for looking at this product!
My mum is obsessed with poppies and has them on place mats, curtains, bedding - you name it. Since spending a week at her poppy decorated caravan I had to admit it I was hooked by this enduring design. (Just don't tell her she was right.)
Since they have been so popular I have now developed a range of other colours and now use silks and other fabrics to embellish some of them - this piece of red sari silk was brought back from my Dad's travels in India in the 1980s!
