This is a single wrap cowl scarf, knitted with a top quality super chunky, soft, pure wool yarn. The yarn I chose is a subtle mixture of heather colours - purples, lilacs and muted green-brown shades. They are slightly hard to describe so I hope the pictures show them clearly enough.

This scarf can be hand washed in lukewarm water, or if you want to machine wash it, put it in a bag and wash on a gentle wool cycle, without fabric softener.

That's an easy one to answer - it's the time of year for scarves! I'm experimenting with different types of scarf, and trying them out myself, and I find a cowl scarf easy to wear. As usual part of my inspiration is the yarn itself. I've enjoyed using super chunky yarns lately, especially those that are pure wool. I'm going to use more of this and felt it to make another item - not sure what yet! Watch this space! :)
