I've been working with the classic British Machin postage stamp for some time, but recently I've become fascinated by the subtler colours and intricate patterns of vintage postage stamps from around the world - tiny pieces of everyday history, preserved.
The postage stamps have all been individually collaged into place with an acid-free, xylene-free adhesive. They still bear fragments of postmarks and other cancellation marks as a testament to their former active service with postal services around the world.
Included stamps from: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Portugal, Romania, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, the United States, & Zambia.

featuring original collage of vintage world postage stamps
Upcycled with a one of a kind collage of vintage postage stamps from around the world (see right), in rich seascape shades green, turquoise, blue & purple. The cover of this notebook has been stampified into something entirely unique - no-one else will ever own a notebook quite like this one! Use for all your first class ideas, travel notes, and more.
The front cover is entirely covered with used postage stamps, then coated with a matt sealant for extra durability. The back cover is left blank, except for a hand-stamped TangleCrafts maker's mark, which has been signed & numbered (a different numbered notebook is shown: example only). A small insert is included (similar to the one shown), providing a little First Class Notebook background info - great for a gift!
Simply packaged in a plain cellophane packet, this is a customised, hardcover, high quality recycled paper notebook with sturdy (approx. 2mm thick) kraft covers, and white metal wire binding. The front & end pages are blank, with are 80 ruled pages (160 sides to write on) inbetween - plenty of space for all your travel notes or anything else you would like to record.
Notebook measures approx. 15cm x 21cm (excluding binding, which adds a little to the width).
