The Hare on the cover of this A6 notebook (cut from yellow-orange, handmade Merino pre-felt) has been wet-felted onto a forest-green Shetland wool background, lightly hand-stitched for definition, then embellished with just a couple of tiny, glass seed beads for the eye. This is a one-of-a-kind piece: I always vary the colours, embroidery and embellishments on my notebooks to ensure that no two are ever the same.

The Notebook is a standard Paperchase soft-covered Kraft A6 (11cm x 15cm) book with plain paper pages and a central section of brown 'scrapbook' pages. The notebook is tied with a sandy-yellow ribbon. It is a great size to slip into a handbag, and would make a lovely Easter or Birthday gift.

Please note: this item is totally hand-felted, and so will not be as even as commercial felt. It will, however, continue to felt with handling and use, to produce a very tactile item, soft to the touch.

Your Notebook will be wrapped in acid-free tissue paper for transit, and will be posted as a 'Small Parcel' by First Class post within 3 days of clearance of payment. Please message if you require a quote for a tracked service.

This is the famous "Mad March Hare" - a creature predominantly solitary and nocturnal, which is rarely seen except during it's 'Mad March' behaviour, when hares can be seen boxing during courtship. This one is a stylisation of our native Brown Hare, raising his nose to sniff the chill spring air around him: 'friend or foe'?
