I love to collect old postcards and I find the intricate, embroidered silk postcards from the first and second world wars a great inspiration & I fully appreciate the craftmanship which went into them.
Hopefully I have created my own little gifts which might become treasured items.

Full description
I am making way for some new stock. This brooch is from a range of mixed media textile brooches which are inspired by antique, embroidered silk postcards.
The brooches contain layers of fabric which I work on with rubber stamps before embellishing with recycled scraps of fabric, beads, buttons, hand embroidery & some machine embroidery to build up an eclectic, retro, mini textile collage.
Beautiful, unique gifts which come in a pretty tissue wrap.
Measuring approx. 5.5cm x 5cm with a bar pin on the back.
Created in a smoke and pet free home.
