A few years ago I started sewing again after many years which progressed to doing some patchwork quilting which I discovered I loved and having made a cot quilt for my new grandson and a lap quilt for my elderly mother I thought I’d have a go at some other smaller projects and started experimenting with zipped bags, tote bags and small fabric storage baskets.

Full description
This pretty patchwork and quilted zipped makeup bag has being lovingly machine sewn using a variety of beautiful fabrics by Moda in rich warm reds and creams with a touch of green and decorated on one side with cream cotton lace. It is fully lined with a complementary fabric. To finish off the bag, I have made a pretty beaded zip pull in matching colours which is on an easily removable clasp.
All the bags have boxed corners on the bottom so they stand up by themselves. The bag is fully machine washable at 40° or less – please remove the beaded zip pull prior to washing.
Outer fabric and lining: 100% cotton fabric. Wadding/batting: Polyester fusible fleece.
Measures: 8” x 6.5” approx.
