These little prints have been created on various occasions, on my replica hand press which has travelled around the country as part of a Living History demonstration of early modern craft skills. The first two are adapted from prints of the seventeenth century, the second pair are original designs evoking the time of the Cavaliers. They are made just as the broadsheets and ballads of those times would have been made.
