This was one of many encased large buttons and discs, which I designed for my beading class to make a pendant.

Full description

This is a variation on my bead encased wooden buttons and disc pendants. A 40 mm domed disc of polished pine from Germany has been covered around the edge with tiny silver lined glass seed beads and oblong beads with a metallic sheen to form a star like pattern on an antiqued brass chain. The brass, the wood and the red glass are three very different components which set each other off beautifully.
