POSTAGE STAMP WOODEN BOOKMARK in PURPLE-BROWN
Custom-made Upcycled Vintage Stamp Collage
PLEASE NOTE: Your bookmark will be made to order - the bookmarks shown have already been sold.
Your bookmark will be collaged with upcycled vintage postage stamps from around the world, in colours blending from purple through to brown. This plain plywood book marker will be stampified into something entirely unique - nobody else will ever own a bookmark quite like yours!
The postage stamps used for your bookmark will date from a wide range of periods, from the first half of the 20th century up to the 1970s (or thereabouts). They still bear fragments of postmarks and other cancellation marks as a testament to their former active service for worldwide postal services, providing a real sense of history.
The bookmark measures approx. 5 x 15 cm & is approx. 3mm thick. The reverse of the bookmark will be hand-stamped with the TangleCrafts maker's mark (exact positioning of stamp may vary.) The words 'Made to Order' will not appear on your bookmark!
The collage is hand-trimmed, to follow the rounded contours of the bookmark, then finished off with a 'parcel string' tassle (approx. 6cm).
