I have a shamefully large stash of vintage embroidered table cloths. It's a habit that I picked up whilst a student. So over the last couple of years I have had a bit of a cull; selecting pieces of fabric that really are past their best, and chopping out the bits that are still rather lovely, to make books.

Full description
This A6 notebook/ journal has been created using traditional bookbinding methods, all papers are; cut, folded then sewn together by hand. I have left the spine exposed, as I think it a shame to hide this particularly attractive feature. Rather than use linen tape I have incorporated assorted ribbons bound with some of my hand-dyed waxed linen thread.
This book is covered with fabric from a once loved embroidered table cloth, and can be secured with frilly knicker elastic (not recycled!), attached to the book with a vintage linen laundry button.
The book contains: 115 pages of assorted 100% recycled or scavenged papers and 5 handmade envelopes.
Measurements: height 14.8 cm, width 10.8 cm and depth 2.5 cm ( 5 7/8" x 4 1/8" x 1")
