Probably my favourite enamelling technique is scrolling. I draw a steel point through the piece while it is at red hot, in the kiln, to create a a pattern by drawing out the class. Similar techniques are used for feather icing and marbling paper. The enamel starts to cool as soon as the kiln door is opened so the window of opportunity is small; not every enamel colour has the same melting point so there is a big margin of error. At the end of the day I get the pattern the material allows me - so the design is not repeatable; so the pairs don't match. But the effect can be stunning. See what you think.

Full description
These earwires are scrolled red and blue over clear enamel on copper. I can't pretend that the two match - that would be impossible to achieve (see 'inspiration') - but they come close and anyway, who sees both your ears at the same time?
The drops are 13mm diameter and counter enamelled on the reverse. The wires are silver.
The earwires are supplied in a box.
