I find the stunning shape of cormorants irresistible! They can usually be seen basking near the Quay in Exeter. The black plumage shimmers in real life and the use of pearlescent highlights and wax seems to capture this on the carving. This wall mounted bird is perfect if you do not have space for the free standing version.

Full description
This wall mounted cormorant is hand carved from 3cm thick jelutong, painted with acrylics and finished to a soft shine with wax. It has a hand coloured glass eye and plumage detail is suggested with pearlescent detail. It is mounted on driftwood and will sit flush to the wall on an angled nail/screw. The piece is 40cm tall and approx. 15cm wide overall.
