Flamingo jasper may be relatively unusual, but this set features a good selection of its markings and colours. There is also a wide range of shapes and sizes in this unusual combo.
The necklace measures 43 cm and has a black extension chain which adds another 19cm. This means it can be worn in lots of lengths using just the chain. It has flattened ovals in 2 sizes, plus three sided tapered diamond shapes in the flamingo jasper, plus spherical haematite beads. The extender has lobster-claw clasps at both ends so you can extend the "stoned" part of the necklace by 16 cm.
It makes a really versatile necklace. The colours are not bright but are rich and interesting. The basic background is flamingo pink -- pinker than flesh pink but not a bright shade. The markings are dark grey and black; some of the beads are mainly pink,others mainly grey but each is a one-off from Mother Nature! The haematite used is not magnetic,and has the usual bright gunmetal finish of all this family.
All the ingredients used are hypoallergenic. The catches are black enamelled to match the stones.
