The BBC is showing a series about Gothic style coming to the UK,and my grasshopper mind jumped to chokers as being classic Goth - not Gothic - style. I've loved finicky beadwork for ages so I'm now in the middle of choker-working mode. P.S. I hadn't realised how difficult it is (for me anyway) to take good photos of something so detailed in plain black. Won't put me off,though

Full description
This is one of my own interpretations of a classic style. The only "ingredient" that isn't black is the toggle closure, which has an antique silver finish. All components are hypoallergenic.
The whole necklace measures 38cm, but it can easily be worn shorter because the toggle fits snugly into the cells of the design. It is made using 2mm black glass beads,interspersed with larger facetted crystal glass beads. They are all hand sewn into place using a minimum of two thicknesses of specialist bead thread (also black!)
I've created a bib effect at the front which is 4cm deep and lies really well.
Although there is no glitter involved, it does catch the light because of the facetted beads. Being black it can be worn with any colour and any style. It's gorgeous with jeans and merely stunning with a posh frock...
