I love to read, if I could have a free hour to do anything at all I wanted (not needed) to do in a day, I would curl up with a book. And I'm sure many people out there do the same trick as me, anything to hand that will fit between the pages of a book becomes a bookmark, especially when you're grabbing sneaky chapters while the potatoes boil or the plumber arrives.
Well I feel that it's time we all treat our books, the bringers of knowledge, excitement and wonder, to something a bit more special that last weeks fuel receipt.
As always, when making these little book treats, I take my inspiration from the wonderful wild world around me.

This delightful mole bookmark is part of a range of wild animal bookmarks inspired by our wonderful British wildlife.
The tiny mole, lovingly hand sculpted from polymer clay, is clinging to the top of a wooden bookmark.
The mole measures approximately 2.5cm (1 inch) high, and the wooden bookmark is 15cm (6 inch) long.
The mole bookmark comes with a gift tag, tied with a jute bow, making it a wonderful gift for a wild animal lover.

You may not receive the actual bookmark pictured. Each one is individually hand sculpted, no moulds are used to create these little fellas, so they may vary slightly in character. Some will be cheeky, some shy, some downright mischievous, however each will certainly be of the same style and colours.
Every little creature I make takes a small piece of me with them, so when they come to you they will bring a lot of love, but also maybe a few tiny cracks, flaws and imperfections. I hope that you will be able to love them despite this.
