I love rainbows. Any excuse and I will make a rainbow coloured piece. It really cheers my day and I hope that it also brightens yours.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A new design for Autumn 2014..
I wanted to make a rainbow shape but the colours work better vertically so I made this colourful arc instead of one with curved horizontal colouring.
This gave me the opportunity to fit in 3 shades in each rainbow colour, fading to lighter at the bottom and I am delighted with the result.
I've used a good variety of glass types, textured, iridised, steaky and with the 21 different colours and tones it is a very colourful piece which catches the light beautifully.
The suncatcher is 14cm x 9.5cm and hangs from a silvery chain which is securely attached by soldered little rings to the top. It is framed with twisted wire for strength and neatness.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use different variations of colour and textures of glass.
All photos are of this suncatcher as it is the first I have made to this design.
The 2nd photo shows it casting its glorious colours as it should do for you when the sun shines through the window. Note this photo shows it incomplete, mid solder. I was attacking it with the soldering iron when it caught the light from my lamp so I collected my camera and tried to capture the lights before completing my soldering.
