Well, I asked my Facebook page followers if they thought I should make something for Halloween and one guy suggested a zombie bunny. I immediately put down all other work and started this guy. I loved the process and had great fun doing something so different to my usual things.

Freaky zombie bunny. This is a huge leap away from my usual work and I have enjoyed it immensely. But I very much doubt ill make another. My husband refuses to be in the same room as it.
I made it using a really cuddly and soft cotton fabric. Hand stitched every small piece of fabric to create the shape of the cute bunny. Then came the zombiefication…. I made the crazy eye from resin and painted it with glass paints. The other eye has fallen out - it happens to the best of the zombie bunnies. Shadows, dirt, mould, scratches and blood was created with textile paint and the bow tie is a nod to my own fear of clowns (personally I think the bow tie is the freakiest part of him). A dirty piece of bandage finished the piece nicely. This is a Halloween decoration for the hard core fan.
He is securely mounted (I promise, he can't get away) onto a wooden shield made for this piece that has been stained 3 times and oiled twice. He measures about 43 cm from the top of his bandaged ear to the bottom of the shield.
