Birds and Cacti
Tile set of four handmade ceramic tiles, painted in cobalt oxide on a white background. Earthenware (indoors)
Size: Each tile is aprox 14x14x0.7 cms (6")
These tiles were hand cut, hand painted with white slip before being biscuit fired. The image was then freehand drawn in pencil, hand painted with cobalt oxide, fired, glazed with transparent glazing and then fired again in temperatures up to 1080°C. The colour will not peel or fade.
Because they are not factory made, each tile may contain little imperfections in shape, surface, and/or colour.
Made in the UK using only British materials.
