Full description

This is a really special, totally one off piece. A tiny world held inside a vintage tin. Three handmade stoneware cottages nestle into the ground made from real moss and sit in a backdrop of vintage lace and layers of hidden poetry. Tiny forget-me-nots sit in the mossy corners.

This tin uses a special poem - The Day is Done by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. These words peep out from behind the tiny village...

"distant footsteps echo through the corridors of time"

The piece stands up without support and can be rested on the lid as a display. Perfect as a miniature work of art for your mantel piece, desk or dresser. The tin measures approx 9cm high, 8cm wide and 2cm deep.

The stoneware houses are made individually, fired and glazed.

This piece is really close to my heart and I would love for it to find a sweet resting place in your home.
