MADE TO ORDER please allow up to 7 days for me to make a little dog especially for you.
We have been reading Treasure Island in the Nursery.
'GRRRRrrrrrrrrrrr!'
Toby is demonstrating to Scruffy dog what a splendid Pirate dog he would be.
Unfortunately we don't live near the sea.
And we don't know any pirates.
Still, there's always lots of treasure to discover in the garden that Scruffy dog has buried over the years (and promptly forgotten about).
Toby is made from mohair, with a hand-coloured black eye patch over one eye. He has traditional amber glass eyes and is finished with a little spotty neckerchief, which has been dyed to give it an aged appearance. He stands about 16cm tall on his old Meccano wheels. His ‘pull-along’ rope has a big old rusty bell attached.
He is one of my own designs and was stitched on my old 1920’s Singer treadle sewing machine.
