The cellini spiral is a basic variation on peyote that most beaders try when they are learning, it works by simply increasing or decreasing the size of the bead used diagonally, and usually simply spirals (hence the name). I wanted to see what would happen if I firstly exaggerated the effect by using a wider range of sizes, and going as big as I could, and secondly to create a zig zag rather than a spiral to force the beadwork to form the bangle shape. It took a bit of fiddling and a few attempts to get the combination of bead sizes and zig zags right, and a very long time to stitch, but it was a lovely repetitive, theraputic piece to make.

Full description
A huge and utterly fabulous beadwoven bangle in silver and pinky red seed beads ranging in size from 0.5 to 3mm. Each bead has been individually stitched into a 'cellini spiral' tube which undulates as the bead sizes change. This bangle contains around two and a half thousand beads, and measures 11cm (outside diameter), 6cm (inside diameter), 4cm (cross section), but it is flexible so will fit a small to average sized wrist.
Packaged in a lovely gift box made from recycled materials ready for you to give or enjoy yourself. Because of the value of this piece it will be sent Royal Mail recorded delivery.
