Full description
Hand-made ceramic tiles with printed clay designs and earthenware glazes. Inspired by the medieval inlay tiles and geometric patterns found in the abbeys of Great Britain.
Each tile is screen printed with a coloured clay slip, coated in either an earthenware 'copper' or 'honey' glaze, and then fired to earthenware. Finally, two strips of cork are fixed to the back. Also, each tile has been individually marked with ‘Deiniol Williams Tiles’ on the back.
Looked after, these will last a long time and would be a great gift to anyone who appreciates medieval history, medieval patterns or striking geometric designs, or has an appreciation for the hand-made.
They can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but please be aware that abrasive materials may scratch the glaze over time. They are also not suitable for dishwashers.
Each tile measures approximately 97x97x8mm but will vary as they are hand-made.
