Full description
This design of circular shawl was the creation of PJ Crafts. On her blog she comments that the shape and design of the shawl were inspired by a mathematician and by the botanical gardens of Austin, Texas.
The finished shawl is an attractive delicate and lacy series of graduating sections starting from the central circle motif in a similar way that a flower's petals wrap around its stamen. Made in a classic white colour, the yarn has a viscose shimmering thread running through the standard acrylic ply giving the finished shawl a light-catching quality. The overall diameter of the shawl when laid out is 87 cm. Yarn used is machine washable but due to the delicate nature of the design I would recommend a gentle / wool cycle or hand wash only. Reshape whilst damp and dry flat away from direct heat.
This shawl would make a lovely choice as a Christening shawl.
