Gorgeous oranges, reds, browns and creams can all be found in this statement necklace.
Large ovals of banded carnelian have been given a soft sheen matte finish and teamed with highly polished triangular cut carnelian beads for contrast in shape and finish. Between each gemstone is a sterling silver vermeil bead. Vermeil is a process where high carat gold is bonded to sterling silver. It is not a plating process and should last a lifetime of normal wear.
The necklace has been hand strung and knotted between each bead and finished with a sterling silver vermeil 'S' clasp.
All the gems have subtle variation in size and shape, but in general, the oval, matte stones measure 40 x 25 mm approx and the triangular beads measure 16 x 16 mm approx.
The stones have variations in their markings too, so depending which way round you wear the necklace, you will have different looks.
The necklace measures 21 inches or 53cm in length approx and sits beautifully flat on the neckline.
