This project combines two of my favourite things - postage stamps and reading! I love the sense of history trapped in these fragments of postage stamps, their own untold stories trapped within the pages of yours.

Upcycled with an original, one of a kind collage of vintage postage stamps from around the world, in your own choice of colour, this plain plywood book marker will be stampified into something entirely unique - nobody else will ever own a bookmark quite like this one!
The postage stamps used for your bookmark will date from a wide range of periods, from the first half of the 20th century up to the 1960s or 70s (ish). They still bear fragments of postmarks and other cancellation marks as a testament to their former active service for worldwide postal services, providing a real sense of history.
The bookmark measures approx. 5 x 15 cm & is approx. 3mm thick. The reverse of the bookmark will be hand-stamped with the TangleCrafts maker's mark (exact positioning of stamp may vary.) The words 'Made to Order' will not appear on your bookmark!
The collage is hand-trimmed, to follow the rounded contours of the bookmark, then finished off with a 'parcel string' tassle (approx. 6cm).
