After repurposing some larger Victorian novels I came across a set of Beatrix Potter books and realised the tiny volumes would make lovely clocks for smaller spaces. The tales also have a timeless appeal to all age groups

Full description

This clock has been created from an original copy of the book The Tale of Mr. Tod by Beatrix Potter. The book has been read and enjoyed by a previous owner so it may show light wear to the cover. This edition was produced from the 1940s to 1970s.

Measuring approximately 11 x 14.5 cm the clock is designed to be hung on a wall but can also be displayed on a shelf or table using the stand included. Supplied boxed so it can be given as a gift. The quartz movement has a sweep second hand so there is no loud ticking making it perfect for use in a nursery or for those who dislike the sound.

The clock is battery operated and takes one AA 1.5V battery. Sorry I am not able to supply this with the clock as the Royal Mail service that I send parcels with only allows these to be sent in their original packaging and I've not been able to find a single AA battery on a card that I could include.

Handcrafted items from The Forgotten Library seek to create new treasures from abandoned vintage books, magazines and other paper or library themed ephemera. Every piece is unique.

The picture of the box, insert and stand is a standard stock photograph as the same style of box is used for each clock. If you are looking closely at the image you may notice the book title is different, don't worry your clock will be correctly boxed and labeled.
